Friday Follies

It's FRIDAY!! Bet you hadn't figured that out yet!(grin) I promised ya a story on my last post and I'm makin good girls(and boys:)! As I mentioned in aforesaid post MY MOMMA turned 60 on Monday...That's right 60!! And since I gave her a fabuloso party at 50 I had to come up with something good(well TRY anyhow:) Now let me just say that my Momma has been employed with the same small business for over 30 YEARS! I also have worked at the place, both during high school and in the late '90's after my brief stint of marriage. So THEY know me and I KNOW they will see me after the last balloon has popped. Is the picture of my desperation starting to form??? I had to make momma a Gift, a Cake, and a Dinner of stuffed peppers and mashd tatoe's, all ON Monday. Cause I'm one of those girls that puts it off til the LAST minute. Actually I did start on Sunday....And THAT is the REAL story here!
Sunday evening I decide I'm makin my MOMMA a purse. YES that's right a purse!! Now, I have never made a purse B4. But   I have a BOOK with purses in it!! AHA So far So Good right??? I have material, I have thread, a sewing machine, wooden handles(I cut them off a yardsale  ridiculously cheap purse) and last but not least I have Interfacing(from Marshall & JoAnn's wedding{see earlier post}). But WAIT....
the interfacing is for light to medium wieght projects! I need heavyweight!!!  So what's a girl to do, You Ask??? Let me show you.....

I used the only thing at my house I COULD use for a washable product! BATTING!!!!  AT this point I  feel the need to tell you I am ..NOT .....a quilter!!!!!!!Inside of purseoutside of purse:)

So there you have it in a nutshell in THE bag folks!!! My wonderful thrifting finds put to a good use! For legal purposes only.... THIS product is made entirely from reclaimed products....I  don't know what it is made of!!!
