Chantel over at My Thoughts and Treasures has a new linky party. I love the idea of THIS partee! It brings to mind Phillipians 4:6-8 "Don't worry about anything, instead pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. 7 Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. 8 And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.
We can chose to focus on the things we are grateful for. Today I have choosen to be THANKFUL for:
All of these LOVELY brown vials of MEDICATION. Today is the day I take my weekly dose methotrexate. It is an immunosupressive drug for my RA. There are times when it seems like my life is ruled by PILLS." When did I take the last dose of blahdeblablah." "Did I already take blahblah" "I need to eat NOW so that I can take blah blahBLAH" I'm sure you get the picture. Today, I will not worry about side effects, reactions, or wether or not I will be able to receive treatment in the future. TODAY I will be thankful for Medicaid, for a new Doctor who LISTENS to me and does NOT treat me like I am a number. I am grateful that I have medication to take and I am "guardedly" hopeful that this treatment may make a difference in my daily life.
I am also Thankful for Chantel, who has reminded me that not only do I need to remember to be thankful but that the Word of God INSTRUCTS me to do so!
Happy Tuesday!
Thank you so much for linking up!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you have a doctor who listens and cares, and even though I'm sure taking a lot of medicine can be hard, I'm glad you're able to get the help you need.
That's the reason I wanted to do Small Treasure Tuesdays, so that I can remind myself to be grateful for the little things. I'm glad you like it! Thank you again :-)
you're a treasure for participating and for making me think about more things I can be grateful for!
Oh to be thankful for the good and seemingly bad... thank you!
ReplyDeleteIt certainly helps our outlook when we choose to be thankful. I am thankful for the Word of God to remind us of that.
ReplyDeleteI'll have the pics up from the photo shoot of my latest skirt on Monday. See you then.
