Sew WHAT???? 0

I have FAILED, yet again, to reach my destination(AKA accomplish my goals, finish my TO DO list, you get the picture....)!  I had BIG plans yesterday. I did----I REALLY did!!  I did get a lot accomplished yesterday( well for ME anyways)  But when it came down to the one thing I wanted to do MOST of all......it didn't happen:(   sigh....lifting handkercheif to wipe away single tear....
Last night was for sewing.  I Planned for it . I looked through my patterns.  I went through my "stash"  It was something Quick& Easy. It was gonna be GREAT!

I got STARTED:

This is a plus size skirt that was part of a gifting. The elastic waistband was ShoT. Can't eBay it. Rayon Fabric. Gr8 summer print = Material 4 ME =  Dresses for ME & GOOSE . Whooohoo

I cut up the skirt  and measured out for the top of my dress. The material for the top is the same Turquise material I used in my last dress.  I  cut  out the top and played the PIN YOURSELF game......
I even DID a little sewing work on it.
I am aiming for an empire style halter dress for me. Not absolutely sure about the one for Goose, though. Depending on my energy level it could be a pillowcase dress.....or something with a pinafore

 And

That is were it ENDED! Sad DaFeet....
Not that I've quit the dress, you understand? But that is were my brain & my Body QUIT on ME!
I keep looking at this "project" just laying around on my dining table. Maybe after church tomorrow.....
( we will pretend for now that I won't be exhausted after the service.....PLS don't tell on me:)

I hope that YOU had better "luck" when it came to YOUR Fri. night plans!

Praying you have a Restful & Rejuvenating  Sunday,

A Gardening Spirit

I have had a week to forget, ALMOST! I have made several trips to Kissimmee and two trips to Orlando so far......
This from a girl who can go without leaving the house for DAYS!! All of them were "must do" trips, for myself or a family member. I drove my Mom to the eye doctors today. It's always nice to have time with her. However, even trips of this nature( less than an hour away) take ALOT out of me,  physically and mentally. That being said, ON Tuesday , I got a little thrifting in ALL BY MYSELF!!! Whoooohooo!!!!!  AND I found the sweetest little frame for under a buck. YEA:)

my " front porch" HAhaheeeheE:)

I just luv it! ( And I know that the caption is SOO true)  It makes me want to get outside and DO SOMETHING! I have really not done much outside this year.  It is a little depressing, and .....OK I CONFESS....I have been a little JEALOUS of all this wonderful gardening and sprucing up and OUTSIDE living area space you Ladies in Blogsville have been showing off, emm SHARING with me. Maybe,  I will be able to add it back into my life soon.  I really like my new Rheumy. He seems to think he can help me.  I am guardedly hopeful!

I also, finally made up my "summer" wreath on the front door.( Really it was PRACTICE Session for the almost here FALL season:)  It needs something MORE, but I haven't got there yet! This is a pic of  what's been done so far!

AS you can see The TOP still needs a little work. Hopefully it will get THERE B4 it's time to change it out for fall...LOL
This was all "stash" stuff.  I am not buying something new for it!  And I never go nuts with the wreath and glue everything in.  Although, there would be a lot more possibilities,  it makes it easier to change out come the next season/holiday! Feel free to OFFER SOME IDEAS on how to FIX it! :)

Fish Fry anyone??

What a WHIRL these last few days have been! I spent most of  Sat. night and yesterday recuperating.  I am happy to report that TODAY is a much better day(physically).  I was up late Friday working on some last minute projects to put out in a yard sale at my best friends. I lugged all of my "JUNK" over to her house Friday and we had a one day sale on Saturday! For a one day sale we did pretty good. :) YEAAAAA!!!!
Unfortunately very few people even asked about my work:(  But hey, it was a yard sale, after all. Not quite the setting for handmade goods!  SOOOOO, what did I have up for grabs?  Well,
LET ME SHOW YOU!

Anyone in the MOOD for some FISH????  The denim here is RECLAIMED from a large pair of jeans. The fish print is RECLAIMED from a shower curtain. The light blue fabric(on the adult apron) is RECLAIMED from a sheet.
Total Cost to ME:
Thread & Time

NOT bad at all.  Don't you agree?? The great thing about this set is that it's more of a Unisex set, without the ruffles and "prettiness" of my other aprons. And, because the denim is such a nice weight, I did not have to line them. AND, I actually got to use a SERGER with this project......( my attempts at threading said serger is a WHOLE 'nother story girls!!!)
I see some Christmas gifts in the making, Don't YOU??? I've got a couple other projects(WELL, it is more than a couple)  I am working on, stay tuned for more adventure:)
I'm linkin up to   It' So Very Thrifty!

Hope you all had a wonderful, Peaceful weekend!!
