A verse to ponder today...

absence makes the heart SAD......and a GIVEAWAY:)

The  house on Pitterpat Lane in Blogsville is once again, OPEN to the public!  I would like to say that "WHILE I've been gone, I have :
                       1) NOT been allowed in my office
                       2) HELD hostage by a crazy person(Yes, I know I just described myself....THANK YOU:)
                       3) SOLVED the healthcare crisis"

HOWEVER,  if I did say those things,  I would be tellin a FIB...welll...except maybe for #2.  grin...
Anyhows, I missed my neighbors(that means YOU) so I decided to settle down and punish REWARD myself for all the stuff I've had to endure, been doing lately and GET BACK to the neighborhood again. I mean really, who else wants to look at all the junk i'm doing??? Assuming, YOU do, of course!

I  have been channeling my energy/time into some other areas. I think we ALL know that there are choices and  decisions to be made considering the time and energy we have to spend. And while, some of my time away was pretty meaningful I really did miss YOU!!

ENOUGH mindless chattering......(YES I heard you:)   ON to the good stuff!! I do have some projects and a review to share. Make sure you check BACK on those.
TODAY I'm gonna CELEBRATE 50 POSTS!!!!!  Who woulda ThuNK it????  I know it's taken me a little longer than some to reach this Humongous Milestone. I am SO glad, I'm not measurin myself against The Big Girls of Blogsville....YOU KNOW who YOU ARE!!!!!  I'm so glad I moved here. The inspiration is just incredible...Thanks Ladies!!!!!!

As you may realize, I am a Christian. One of the things I learned to do when I was a high schooler(1000  24 a few years ago:) was to read a chapter of Proverbs daily.  If you have read my "about Me" page than you know I am FAR from perfect. Even during those times,  the Proverbs thing stuck with me! So, I have decided to add a verse from Proverbs(from the chapter of the day) on Todays and future posts....

Proverbs 22:1   A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver and gold.

What do YOU think being esteemed or having a good name entails??

Here are some of the characteristics I think are needed:
Honesty, humility, discretion, kindness, gratefulness, reliability and faithfullness.

Happy Sunday Neighbors!!

  2. I'm already a follower :)

And I LOVE that you read a chapter a day from proverbs... I do the same!!
As far as what a good name entails... whenever I think of this verse I always think of my dads funeral. Weird but hear me out ;) The church was packed so much that they had to bring in extra chairs for people. No one had anything bad to say about him. Everyone said how nice and kind he was and how he'd always put everyone else before him. He was gentle and kind hearted and excepted people for who they were.
He is exactly what I think a good name entailed and it broke my heart when I got married because I had to change my last name... it was the only thing I still had of his! I'm okay with it now because I just think of who he was and what he left us all with.

    and thanks for the giveaway!
